Here are some highlights of reviews from past customers!

”I had a private tour with Jeremy for Art Deco and Architecture tour. - I own several pieces from this era and Jeremy offered nonstop information. Fast paced but had time to ask all my questions. Loved seeing not only the close-up view of each building but also, the distant "secret" views that only Jeremy could offer from his research as a historian. Wealth of knowledge, personable, and well worth the morning spent together. The highlight of my trip to New York. Thank You, Jeremy.”

”We did the Central Park walking tour on our visit earlier this month, and I can not recommend it enough. Our guide Jeremy was amazing, he knew everything there was to know and answered all our questions.
I didn’t have a clue about the history of Central Park, and came away with so much knowledge, it was fascinating. We would have been walking around aimlessly else with no information, getting completely lost! Thank you so much to Jeremy and Custom NYC Tours, I will 100% use them again for other tours in New York if I am ever fortunate enough to return to this amazing city.”

"All I can say is fantastic. Jeremy is truly a NYC native who mixes his personal stories with the history of the locality you are touring. He does a great job answering all questions as well as ensuring that even the slowest walkers among us are walking at a comfortable pace. I would really recommend Custom NYC tours and plan on booking them again when I have some time off."

"I've been able to do a couple of tours and have been very satisfied both times! In particular, the tour of Flushing Meadows Park was filled with fun and interesting information about a part of NYC that is both beautiful and grossly underappreciated. How Jeremy (the tour guide) is capable of retaining all of the information about each place is mind boggling! It definitely shows his passion for what he's doing. Looking forward to a future tour!"
--Armando F.

"Jeremy is a wonderful tour guide, and as a vet of many international guided city walks, I know that finding a new angle in New York isn't easy. He incorporates architecture and history in relevant ways which illuminate a metropole intent on dissolving its legacy behind plywood work walls and sidewalk sheds. I have been all around New York and I love the chance to learn more about the flagship American city, so I would totally recommend you follow Jeremy around to do the same."
--Bill S.

"I thoroughly enjoyed getting to see and experience NYC more in depth. There is so much more to NYC than just the top ten sites and taking a walking tour with Custom NYC Tours was both fun and informative. There is nothing like experiencing the Gowanus canal up close and personal! I look forward to booking another tour and would recommend Custom NYC Tours to anyone interested in an authentic New York walking tour."
--Ezra C.

"Jeremy was very patient with the 5 of us, flexible with some of the places we wanted to go and spot on with his knowledge of the city, political relevance and history of the sites we visited. I've been to NYC several times, but got to see parts of the city I didn't have any familiarity with the context from Jeremy made it that much better. He was also very flexible with our scheduling and timing, as we changed the number and time of our tour a couple of times. "
--Reid C.

"Jeremy did an excellent job of showing us many murals in Bushwick. He has  obviously spent a lot of time preparing the tour. And Jeremy clearly  does a great job of keeping up with frequent changes in the "murals  landscape" in Bushwick. I was impressed with how much he knows about the  works of art, the artists, and the community. Jeremy delivers  information articulately, making it always interesting, and, when  appropriate, humorous. So the tour was informative, and fun too. I  highly recommend it to others."
--I.T. [Bushwick Street Art Tour]

"My wife and I were so pleased to invest time in the walking tour hosted by Jeremy. His commentary was so interesting and as consequence we gained understanding of origin and impact of the park on New York and the city. A highlight of our visit to NYC."

"Jeremy was our awesome tour guide. I really wanted to walk across the Brooklyn bridge and the Brooklyn tour was perfect for that. Jeremy was very insightful and made sure to stop and explain any significant stories behind things/events/places/buildings/etc. In Brooklyn, we walked through different neighborhoods, learning about the different histories. I would recommend Jeremy and Custom NYC tours for those wanting to learn a little more about NYC; plus, it's great exercise too!"
--Jeannie Y.

"5 stars all day. We just completed our Brooklyn Bridge/DUMBO tour with Jeremy Wilcox and it was great. Very professional and friendly and well worth it. We went through several neighborhoods in Brooklyn and walked across the famous Brooklyn bridge. We stopped for a lot of pictures."
--Anthony B.

"Jeremy is an amazing tour guide and I'd highly recommend him to any group of people! I've lived in the city for a very long time and still learned so much. I wish I had met him years ago! He's easy to follow, very kind, funny, informative, and knows just about everything. I wish he was in every city I visited. Definitely make him a part of your visit if you want to see NYC in a real way."
--Sara A.

"I WANT TO FIRSTLY SAY I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TOUR! This tour was fantastic. Our wonderful tour guide, Jeremy, a local New Yorker was really friendly, he spoke beautifully and eloquently, was already waiting for us well on time under the Washington Square arch in Washington Square Park. Jeremy, made this tour very interesting with loads of information that he shared about the history of Greenwich village and its Dutch and the British heritage.
Jeremy also made the tour very enjoyable overall, by keeping things interesting and entertaining with his quirky sense of humour and wonderful personality. He pointed out the oldest jazz club the bars where great singers first performed. We Walked along some stunning and beautiful Brown stone houses with plenty of explanation on design and history.
This tour is really great, made better by Jeremy, there are a lot of details, Colonial history of what was the US first Capital city. We made our way towards the meat packing district via the famous Stonewall Inn where the LGBT movement started. This area filled with surprises and not your usual criss cross grid pattern streets as this original section of the city was laid before the more modern uptown, so there's bends and curved streets with alleys. Jeremy filled us in on all the facts and made the tour interesting, the old Nabisco factory, the birthplace of Oreos, the transformation of the old rail yard area to a new vibrant community and to end we walked along the High line park. A unique park built up above street level on an old goods rail line. From here there are some great views of the city and plenty of art work to keep you amused. this was a great experience and a marvelous way to see Greenwich in a small group tour.
Jeremy was absolutely fantastic, he is brilliant guide who gave us lots of really interesting facts and information I might not have enjoyed this tour so much if it had not been for Him.
So again I Highly recommend this tour!"

"Just returned from a trip to NYC and had the pleasure of touring Central Park with Jeremy. I have already recommended him to 2 sets of friends that are planning trips in the future to New York and can say this is a do not miss. We lucked out by being the only ones (most likely due to the chilly weather) and had a fabulous private guided tour of all the major highlights found in beautiful Central Park. Make sure you add this to your list of 'Must Do's' when planning your next trip to New York, you will not be disappointed."
--Amy D.

"Our street art tour with Jeremy was a blast. I learned a ton about street art and got lots of cool pictures. Jeremy is very knowledgeable, and seemed to tailor the tour to our group interests. I highly recommend a tour with him."
--Bonnie C. [Lower East Side Street Art Tour]

"One of the highlights of an amazing trip. Jeremy worked really hard to create a tour that was interesting and personal.
My best friend surprised me with this when I came for a visit a few weeks ago, and it was one of the best things I've ever done in my many trips to the city. Jeremy had a great foundation of knowledge about things in the city I would have otherwise missed (again). He was able to seamlessly talk about architecture, history, the Draft Riots, the Underground Railroad and street art with equal measures of knowledge and passion.

Jeremy is a great host; he is clearly very kind, knowledgeable and able to answer questions on a wide range of topics (which is great because I have a wide range of interests when it comes to the city). I would highly recommend this to anyone (including locals!) who want a more unique experience in NYC!"
--Bria J.

"I took this tour cause I live in Queens and i was always very interested in the World's Fair . Jeremy was very knowledgeable , entertaining with stories full of anecdotes from that era. The tour is at a nice pace that allows you to fully enjoy and take plenty of pictures. Overall a wonderful experience that I will certainly recommend to friends and family. "
--Alessia N. [Queens: The World's (Fair) Borough Tour]

"Just returned from a trip to NYC and had the pleasure of walking over the Brooklyn Bridge and experienced Brooklyn with Jeremy our tour guide. Jeremy was very knowledgeable. He shared stories during the whole walk and was very pleasant. We were able to take lots of pictures and it was a very nice comfortable walk. Highly recommend Jeremy as he seems to tailor his walk and talk according to the group. I didn't read the reviews on Jeremy beforehand so we lucked out and had Jeremy as our tour guide. Highly recommend Jeremy so maybe you can ask for him... you will not be disappointed. "

"Great Landmarks tour in Manhattan. Good pace and info. Jeremy is very accommodating in arranging tours to your interests. Wish I had found him earlier. Will use when I came back."
--Pat F. [Landmarks of Midtown Tour]

"I had the pleasure of taking part in the World Fair tour in Flushing Meadow Park yesterday. Not only was the tour amazing, but I cannot tell you how much I learned in one afternoon. Thank you Jeremy for the great day. Hope to see you for another tour soon."
--Matt B.

"Good value the guide was pleasant, knowledge and didn't force the pace it was a wet morning but that didn't to matter as the walk was so enjoyable."
--Dave B. [Central Park Tour]

"Jeremy, our tour guide, was very thorough. He showed us what we would like to see and showed us little areas of interest where most people, not with a guide, would overlook. He was very interesting and definitely knew what he was talking about."
--David W. [Central Park Tour]

"So glad we did this tour! The guide was fantastic. Because of the bad weather we were the only ones on this tour but I'm so glad we made the effort. The guide certainly knew his stuff and his knowledge of the area was amazing. He even had photos of before and after on his iPad. We highly recommend this tour!!"
--Sue S. [Brooklyn Bridge & DUMBO Tour]

"What a fantastic way to escape the city. A beautiful retreat steeped in history, beautiful landscaped chill out zones, picnic areas and kids fun zones.
My guide Jeremy was excellent his knowledge was amazing and he bought the island to life. I highly recommend this tour."
--Melanie H. [Governors Island Tour]

"Jeremy our tour guide was very knowledgeable about Central Park.  The pace was just right and I had time to take some photographs. Would highly recommend this tour."
--Eileen P.

"Having visited NYC many times we are always looking for something different to do and having been curious about Governors Island when seen from the Staten Island ferry last year we decided a guided walk would be interesting . Jeremy met us at the Battery Maritime Building for the short ferry journey. The island is larger than expected with numerous interesting buildings which have had a variety of uses through the years . Views of lower Manhattan are stunning and Jeremy takes you to all the best viewpoints as well as being extremely knowledgeable about the island itself . We visited on a weekday - weekends are much busier - and will definitely return on our own now that we know so much about it."
--Elinor H.

"We enjoyed this tour very much. It started out at a park in front of City hall in downtown just across the bridge access, we then walked across the bridge. Jeremy our guide was great. He made many stops along the way to tell us some historical facts and information and to point out things of interest, while allowing us to take some photos. The tour walked us through the DUMBO section of Brooklyn and through the parks along the river and neighborhood. We could have easily just walked across ourselves but it was worth the price just to have a guide give us some info on facts and history along the way about the bridge itself and the neighborhood."
--Michael C.

”My wife and I had a great time on the Hamilton walking tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and engaging, and did an excellent job. We were able to see so many historic locations and markers during the tour. The tour did a great job of putting it all together for us and giving us a look back through the history of NYC and the life of Alexander Hamilton.”

"Jeremy was an engaging and interesting tour guide, very knowledgeable and took us to see some amazing places! I would DEFINITELY recommend this tour. It was an incredibly hot day but Jeremy found the shade and took us inside a number of buildings so our trip was very pleasant.
Thanks so much Jeremy."
--Kate B. [Landmarks of Midtown Tour]

"Picked up from City Hall park by our brilliant guide.... We were a small group of participants about ten people. Before the walk over the [Brooklyn] bridge we were given by guide the explanation of the tour and history of the bridge. We were invited to ask any and as many questions needed. As we walked over he explained the day to day use of the bridge including the NYC rules of walking over and not using the bike lane. We enjoyed the stops were we were able to take photos with our guide showing major buildings on the Manhattan skyline. Once over we we progressed to Dumbo - at last we found out what it stood for! We again we were given opportunities to take photos etc. Great value for money and an easy walk for young and old. Of course we could have walked across by ourselves but that's all it would have been. This experience allowed us to leave after a wonderful informative tour and lots of photos to remind us of the experience."
--Rodney T.

”Met close to the Empire State Building. Jeremy, our guide, was knowledgeable, well prepared and obviously loved architecture and design and if you were not a fan before this tour you were after. We learned about Art Deco and the stories behind the construction of some of New York cities most famous and beautiful skyscrapers. Other places we visited include American Standard (Radiator) building, Cipriani 42nd, Chrysler bldg, Bryant Park, New York City Library, and Grand Central station where the tour ended. Well designed tour - all stops were close. Bring a camera as ‘hey just don’t make Art Deco like this anymore’ - some interiors & lobbies are fabulous & Jeremy had suggestions for best places to capture exteriors. A highlight for us and IMO a ‘must’ for a NYC visit.”
